Acmaeodera cazieri Size: 5.72 mm Group Guild Status Incidental N/A Rare This metallic wood-boring beetle (Buprestidae) is recorded from a single record sampled on September 18, 2007 from the trail curb in the Throne Room near the "Totem". Adults of Acmaeodera species are commonly found on flowers where they feed on pollen and/or other floral structures. Larval host plants of Acmaeodera include a wide variety of woody shrubs and trees (Westcott et al. 1979). This species is an incidental occurrence in the cave. |
